Built from scratch

Wedding Website
A full-stack web application built with Next.js (React & TypeScript), Prisma ORM, and PostgreSQL to streamline wedding planning. The site enabled guests to RSVP, view event details, and submit personalized notes — saving us time, reducing costs, and improving organization. It was a fun, meaningful, real-world project with a new framework I picked up a few weeks before the start of the project.
My Software Portfolio
A full-stack portfolio website built with Next.js and MySQL, designed to showcase my software projects, professional recommendations, and personal highlights. It serves as an interactive portal for others to explore my work, skills, and experience in one centralized place.
CSE Motors
A full-stack car dealership application built from scratch using Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture. Developed as part of a school project simulating a real-world product manager–developer workflow, this app includes dynamic page rendering with HTML and CSS, and supports vehicle listings, inventory management, and user interaction.
PLUMS
A personal learning Management software that I created with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS
Clones (Proof-of-concept)

Spotify Clone
A full-featured music streaming platform inspired by Spotify, built by following a tutorial from Antonio Erdeljac. This project served as a proof of concept and gave me valuable hands-on experience with modern web technologies. I’ve always admired Spotify’s clean UI and thoughtful UX, so replicating it was both exciting and insightful. I also drew inspiration from Spotify’s design when creating this portfolio site (EasterEgg). Built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Supabase (PostgreSQL), and Stripe, the app features user authentication, playlist management, media uploads, and seamless audio playback.

LMS Clone
A full-stack Learning Management System (LMS) clone inspired by modern course platforms and built by following a tutorial from Antonio Erdeljac. It features distinct teacher and student modes, enabling instructors to create and manage courses while students browse, purchase, and track their progress. Built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Prisma, Supabase (PostgreSQL), Mux, and Stripe, the app includes role-based dashboards, video uploads, payments, and progress tracking. This project strengthened my experience with scalable full-stack development and SaaS architecture.

Papa Yaw consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of programming concepts and software design principles, often going beyond the course requirements to explore advanced topics. His ability to apply theoretical knowledge practically was evident in his projects, where he displayed excellent coding practices and a keen eye for detail.Additionally, his collaborative spirit and willingness to assist his peers not only enhanced his team's performance but also contributed positively to the classroom environment. Katherine Campbell
WDD Instructor - BYU-Idaho
I have worked with Papa Yaw for two semesters at BYU-Idaho teaching a sophomore-level web design and development course. I have taught the course for nine years, and the majority of TAs have needed guidance in fulfilling responsibilities and in mastery of course material, which is to be expected. Working with Papa Yaw has been more like working with another instructor. His level of professionalism and his ability to take initiative based on observations would be a great asset to any team. Many times, I had students report to me that they had problems understanding a concept or completing an assignment, but Papa Yaw had already helped them through the issue. He also is a great communicator which helped our efforts to work together to make sure each of our students had the support and feedback they needed to succeed in the class. In the most recent semester, there were four students who needed special care and attention to successfully pass the class near the end of the term, and due to Papa Yaw's dedication and efficiency, we were able to work together to get the final grades for all students completed as well as help the four students finish the remaining work needed to not just pass, but that demonstrated competency in the course concepts at a level that would ensure success in the future courses in their programs. I had a couple of students contact me after the semester to let me know how much the support during the semester had made a difference in their confidence and progress in their educational plans, and Papa Yaw was key in our efforts to provide the support each student needed.
